Extensive experience as a property investor and financier inspired our founder Kieran Trass to first research property cycles during the 1990’s.
As a banker to property investors and a property investor himself since the 1980’s Kieran’s passion to research property cycles was ignited by observing long term recurring trends influencing the Auckland residential property market.
That initial research included assessing decades of historic property related data and information against the backdrop of Kieran’s extensive finance industry background, culminating in 2001 with the creation of the TellMeTheTime ® methodology, to analyse property cycles.
This blog is primarily designed to provide you with information about the property cycle and it’s nuances.
Commentary will also be provided on relevant property topics and the view of these through the ‘lens’ of the property cycle.
A property cycle is a sequence of recurrent events reflected in demographic, economic and emotional factors that affect supply and demand for property subsequently influencing the property market.
